COVID-19 UPDATE (as of September 2, 2021)
Merriwood Christian Camp is excited to have ministered to over 1,400 campers in the summer of 2021, during nine summer camp weeks, with no known cases of COVID-19 reported. We praise God for protecting our camp, staff, students, and facility in this way, so we could encourage and challenge kids spiritually this past summer, as well as help them find and pursue life in Christ. We hope and plan to do this same with our fall 2021 retreats, spring 2022 retreats, and 2022 summer camp program.
MCC’s program, as always, will aim to keep campers as safe and healthy as possible while still maintaining the essence of the camp experience with fun, outdoor adventure, social connections and relationship building, biblical lessons, and a quality summer program.
Because of how Merriwood is permitted, we will be following the summer camp guidelines from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) as well as guidance from our local health department. Please see our protocol below with the understanding that these policies are subject to modification as our planning continues and as/if guidance changes.
